You all should remember the mohawk that Eli got at the exclusive Fiber Hair Spa on Lexington Avenue. Well, Mary is the owner of the salon and a big supporter of families that have kids with cancer. This is a picture of Eli with Mary after his haircut:

Mary brought over lunch for Lacey and I at the hospital today and we had chicken and steak. It was phenomenal! The steak was so tender and delicious and the chicken was seasoned to perfection. She even had a spinach and carrot salad that I loved. Seriously, I ate spinach and liked it. That is a first. We also had potatoes and french bread. Meat and potatoes, a true Iowa meal, how great is that?
She also brought over a kit that had over 100 temporary tattoos and two more hair color sprays for Eli’s mohawk (purple and red). Eli is sporting one of his tattoos tonight and wants to do his mohawk and show the nurses how it looks when it is all done up on his last day of being inpatient. Thanks, Mary. Your visit was absolutely the highlight of our day and the food was fantastic.
Well, that’s all for tonight. Thank you for continuing to pray for Eli. We are really praying for his pain level to decrease, especially since he won’t be able to have Toradol anymore. Also, that the antibiotics will work and Eli will get rid of his infections and heal quickly. We appreciate everyone’s messages of encouragement and hope everyone has a great weekend!
