HAMA negative

Just a very fast note this morning to let everyone know that Eli’s HAMA test came back negative! For those of you new to the site, that’s great news. If Eli was HAMA positive, that would mean that he had already developed an immunity to the 3F8 and we’d have to stop doing the 3F8.

They told me they’d have the results Tuesday night and that if it was negative, they wouldn’t call, but if it was positive that they would call and let us know what the next step would be. “No news is good news”. They didn’t call on Wednesday, but I just couldn’t take it, so I called them Thursday to confirm that the results were indeed negative.

Like I said, just a quick update to thank you all for praying for the HAMA test and to let you know that the prayers were answered. We’ll be heading back to New York this weekend to start Round 2 of our 2 week 3F8, followed immediately by scans and radiation!
