Kids Walk for Kids With Cancer

Just a quick one to give you the Kids Walk For Kids With Cancer video I had promised you. Today was a very interesting 3F8 day. Eli didn’t sleep at all, and when his tummy started to hurt (halfway through the flush), I tried to distract him with a PSP game. I think it worked a little too well because he stopped complaining about pain (which always makes me nervous) and didn’t need any Dilaudid rescues. He also never feel asleep afterwards, so our entire evening is bound to be messed up and I’m either going to have a kid going to bed at 8pm or taking a nap at 6pm and then being up until 2am. We’ll see how it plays out.

Anyway, here is the video I promised you:

To highlight just a few of the pics:

This is me with Dr. Cheung and his wife and son. Dr. Cheung started the 3F8 studies 20 years ago at Sloan and is truly a leading Neuroblastoma expert in the country.

The gentleman on the far right is Dr. LaQuaglia. The man that spent 11 hours with his hands inside of Eli back in October of ’07.

This is Dr. Kushner and I as the walk kicked off. Dr. Kushner is Eli’s primary doctor and the reason why we decided to continue coming to New York to pursue antibody treatments after Eli’s surgery was over.
