As you might expect, we have already filled every single night with a get together with different friends and family. We have Christmas parties to make up after all! We also have an upcoming birthday to celebrate since Eli turns 4 on the 15th! Since so many people have mentioned wanting to get together once we return from New York, we thought we’d make it a big party and invite everyone on Eli’s CarePage! We aren’t 100% sure where it is going to be (most likely it will be somewhere in the Des Moines area), but we are going to have it Thursday night (February 7th) from 3pm-7pm, so save the date! If you’re reading this CarePage, you’re invited! We’ll post the location on Monday.
Even though this is a birthday party, we’re asking that nobody bring Eli a toy. We seriously received so many toys over Christmas that we don’t know what we’d do with more. You don’t need to bring anything besides yourselves, but if you feel like you must bring something for Eli, a card or a book would be fine. This will be a dessert and appetizer buffet party. If you want to bring a dessert or an appetizer, you’re more than welcome, but again it is definitely not required. The only thing that we ask is that if you have been sick or been around someone that has been sick recently that you skip the party and visit us another time. Also, if you haven’t had your flu shot and you still want to come, we’ll have face masks available at the party for you to wear. Don’t say I didn’t warn you (see also the November 11th update). 🙂 Even though Eli isn’t neutropenic right now, we can’t take any chances of Eli getting sick and wasting his white cells on anything! We really hope a lot of you can come and say hi before we turn around and head back to NY on Saturday.
